Applications: The PFU Plug and Run modules give the designer a complete deployable PC systems function in a form factor that is both rugged, reliable (up-to 500,000 hours MTBF), and easy to design for. Effectively the P&R module gives the embedded systems designer a laptop functional capability that can be utilised in their own highly embedded custom applications. Industrial Automation, Medical equipment, Military, Mining. Transportation , Defence & Security , Test & Measurement Carrier Cards: With the PFU Plug and Run the systems designer has two choices when considering the base card to house the modules and breakout the PC interfaces. - Design a fully custom base card particular to the application. To support this PFU supplies full design and development information including a design review service. - Utilise one of the standard PFU carrier cards. Netcard, NetcardII, Slotcard, NomadFire, MobilonCARD. CLICK FOR MORE INFORMATION OR CONTACT UNITRONIX |

What are the P&R carrier boards? PFU Systems' carrier boards are reference designs for embedded applications. It uses the company's Plug-N-Run and Plug-N-Run Server Edition System-On-Modules (SOM) for embedded x86 host functionality. A combination of the Plug-N-Run module and a carrier board yields an ultra-compact, portable, powerful, embedded processing system. With its unique application specific features and easy reconfiguration, carrier boards make an excellent rapid prototyping platform for embedded applications. The combination of a SOM and carrier boards forms an OEM specific single board computer (SBC). Can carrier cards be used in production products? Yes, the customer can use a carrier card in their end design or they can utilise fully tested and debugged carrier board reference design for rapid prototyping and proof of concept. PFU Systems provides quick turn professional design services through ProDeSSM to help OEMs take this reference design into production. Does PFU Systems
provide other off-the-shelf carrier boards? Does PFU Systems
provide OEM specific carrier boards? Does PFU Systems
provide custom product design services beyond OEM specific carrier boards? |
