The CHAMP-AV8 multi-processing board brings the floating-point performance of the quad-core Intel® Core TM i7-2715QE processor to the OpenVPX form factor standard. Utilizing a pair of processors, the CHAMP-AV8 delivers performance rated at up to 269 GFLOPs. With a 21GB/s (peak) DDR3 memory subsystem connected directly to the processor, the Intel® Core TM i7-2715QE is able to maximize the throughput of its Intel AVX vector processing units and process larger vectors at peak rates significantly greater than was possible with previous AltiVec™-based systems.

NAI OpenVPX 67C3:
The 67C3 is a single slot 6U OpenVPX (0.8” pitch) multi-function I/O and serial communications card. NAI Model VME 64D2:
The 64D2 is a 6U VME Multifunction Communications and Digital I/O Board with local Processing capability. The “mother board” contains 3 independent slots, each of which can be populated with a function specific module. Additionally, Slot 3 can be populated with a DSP processor. This unique design eliminates the need for specialized, single function boards required for system integration by providing a combination of communication and digital I/O functions on one board. All I/O data written to or read from the board can be managed over the Ethernet port or via the VMEBus.

The 64C2 is a second generation multi-function card which adds Ethernet capability, offers additional programmability, and faster operating speed. It is a universal Multifunction VME I/O Board that eliminates the complexity and size constraints of using multiple, independent, single-function cards. The 64D1 is a 3-module, Multifunction, 6U VME Communications Board. It eliminates the complexity and size constraints of using multiple, independent, single-function cards. The 64D1 can include any three combinations of the following:
. 6 channels of Synchronous or Asynchronous RS-232C/RS-422/RS-485,
. 2 channels of Dual Redundant MIL-STD-1553 BC/RT/MT,
. 8 channels of Profi-bus,

The 57S81 is a high power-density, low profile, 500 watt AC/DC and DC/DC Power Supply with up to 8 outputs for VME/VXI and general purpose applications. It accepts both 270 VDC and 115/230 VAC (single phase) inputs and provides full output power at +85°C baseplate temperature.

What Are VPX and VXS Bus Systems?
Question: With the new emerging standards of VXS and VPX Is there any life left in the VME standard?

Answer: VME is still relevant and will exist for sometime yet along side VXS as these two systems are complementatry. VPX on the other hand is a major brake from parallel bus and will forge ahead on its own revolutionary path.

VXS and VPX are new bus standards that provide much increased bandwidth between cards on a backplane through use of fast serial signalling technology as opposed to the older parallel bus used in VME and cPCI. VXS or VITA 41x, has solid links to the VME standard as it combines the original VME-64X P1 and P2 connectors but replaces the P0I/Owith a larger connector providing 8 lanes of serial switched fabric running at 3.125Gbit/S. VXS is a family of specifications that define the different mapping of the switched fabric to the communications protocol required to be implemented. For example: VITA 41.2 Serial RapidIO, VITA 41.3 Gig Ethernet, VITA 41.4 PCI Express.

VPX or VITA 46, is a major branch away from traditional backplane technology. The VPX standard combines the latest in very high speed connector technology and switched serial fabric to produce a new backplane standard (both 6U and 3U), for high end embedded systems going forward.

VPX REDI or VITA 48 is the ruggadised implementation that details advanced cooling methodologies including forced air, advanced conduction colling and liquid cooling.
