Tactronics - Military Command, Control, Communications

TAC-4 Command and Control System
Army mobility platforms require a system that seamlessly integrates various command and control capabilities and allows for their intuitive display, immediate access and user friendly function. Based on WinTel technology Tactronics' mobile C2 systems integrate tactical radio control, bezel button and touch screen application control, video and messaging into a single integrated, scalable, modular system that will allow for "plug-and-play" capability including integration of FBCB2 and C2PC functionality. TAC-4 systems have been developed so that the system is configurable, transportable and operational in all vehicle platforms. Utilising an open WinTel architecture that allows for the future integration of any new subsystems, it is expandable and upgradable to ensure interoperability, portability, reusability, and enable the rapid insertion into mission specific upgrades.

Intercommunication System
Tactronics' Digital Intercommunication System (ICS) represents the state-of-the-art in tactical integrated audio communications today. Digital uncompressed audio over ethernet ensures maximum fidelity not normally associated with tactical ICS systems. Used for vehicle intercom, links to POTs, Satcom, and mobile phone systems, gives the most versatile, reliable and truly cost-effective intercom system for military vehicles available on the market today.

Video Monitors, Tactronics handheld family of display products, 4/6/10/12 inch designed for ground vehicle applications and emergency vehicles. Switch between computer display (VGA) and video input allows the unit to be used in a multitude of operational scenarios where a computer and external camera are being utilised. Touch screen and true NVIS capability available on the 10 inch screen. Constructed from solid aluminium, these screens are rugged and compact, the small size allows for convenient and safe positioning of the screen inside vehicles that utilise airbags.
Slimline:Rugged Displays with optional touch screen for Naval consoles offer significant cost savings over traditional LCD's. 10/12/15/18/21 inch, waterproof, daylight readable and night dimmable down to 1 NIT for operations on the bridge at night. These rugged screens are designed for Naval and marine applications. Touch screen versions utilise NFI Near Field Imaging technology which gives lifetime durability far in advance of traditional touch screen systems. Hard coatings and EMI coatings for MILStd 461E compliance make these screens ideal for aircraft applications where interference and explosive decompression are factors.

Vehicle Situational Awareness System, VSAS
Tactronics' Vehicle Situational Awareness System (VSAS) is a component-based system designed to gather information in video format, and record it for future analysis. Two standard cameras, one FLIR and a controller for directional and camera control, each camera stores video to removable hard disks. NVIS compatible screen allows operator real time imaging of what the cameras see. Comprehensive system designed for quick deployment on to operational vehicles.

IR Beacon, Vehicle and Signalling units
Tactronics' Identification Friend or Foe (TIFF) Beacon provides
advanced long-range observation and identification, giving tactical advantage in both the battlefield and urban environments. Designed to be seen only while using a 3-5 or 8-12 micron thermal imaging device, the TIFF has an omni-directional recognition range of 6 miles. For vehicle use Tactronics has a range of IR headlight units for nighttime operations. Tactronics SERE, Search Evade Rescue Escape "Handheld and lightweight Visual Signaling Device for Long and Short Duration Operations", utilises visible light, thermal IR and IR LASER providing a variety of signalling and illumination options.
